Sadio Mane has just sent FSG another clear transfer message after joining Liverpool Trend
Sadio Mane becomes the latest player to learn the hard way that life after Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp isn’t as easy as they’d hoped.
It has been a dramatic week for Liverpool fans. After the thrill of Sunday’s comeback draw against Arsenal, he was back to normal with a thud several days later as this roller coaster season hit yet another slump.
With reports on Tuesday appearing to confirm that the Reds will not be in the market for Jude Bellingham this summer, pressure on club owners FSG has increased significantly. After all, the Borussia Dortmund midfielder has long been touted as Liverpool’s ultimate goal. Instead, John Henry and his colleagues are expecting a decisive summer. With Bellingham having failed to make it to Anfield they now have to make several signings which will improve what has been a terrible season.
With his first-choice transfer now ineligible, Jürgen Klopp will have to turn his attention to other targets and it is imperative that FSG – and anyone following in Julian Ward’s footsteps – delivers what he asks for.
The club owners simply cannot afford to get their German wrong again. Klopp is under contract at Anfield until 2026 and on the surface his relationship with the owners has rarely been scrutinized. However, another failed transfer window could risk casting doubt on the 55-year-old and leaving him wondering if he is still with the right club.
Make no mistake, Liverpool will be much worse if Klopp decides it’s time to leave. The Reds have one of the best managers in the world in charge and that has become clearer this week.

When Sadio Mane decided to leave Liverpool last summer, while it was a heartbreaking moment for many, it was also seen as an understandable decision by the Senegal international. He had won everything with the club and could choose his teams for a new challenge. Unfortunately, things didn’t quite go according to plan for him. Just 11 goals in 32 appearances for Bayern Munich and a lengthy injury layoff either side of the World Cup came as a disappointment, but the worst was to come this week.
Mane has now been suspended by his club after he allegedly punched teammate Leroy Sane following Bayern’s defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final.

It’s the latest setback in what has been a tough first year away from Anfield for the 31-year-old, and yet another reminder to any current Liverpool player who could potentially see a transfer this summer that weed doesn’t it’s always greener than it is on the other side.
Mane becomes the latest player to decide to leave the Reds, but he finds life that much more difficult, following the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum, Philippe Coutinho and Emre Can. And of course, it’s no coincidence that without Klopp they fought there to lead them.
The German belongs to the managerial elite. He transformed a club that once struggled to regain its former glory into one of the best in the world, turning its players into superstars in the process.
There are very few such powerhouses in the business and FSG would be better served to meet their demands this summer. From today’s perspective, we are ready for three more years with Jürgen Klopp – we certainly don’t want less.

Mohamed Salah takes on Arsenal after receiving Liverpool award
Liverpool top scorer Mohamed Salah hopes his performance against Arsenal can spark an end to the Premier League season.
Mohamed Salah hopes Liverpool’s performance in the draw against Premier League leaders Arsenal will give a boost to the race ahead.
The Reds star scored against Mikel Arteta’s side as he fired home to halve the deficit just before half-time. After the break, Diogo Jota was knocked down by Rob Holding, giving the Egyptian the chance to equalize from the penalty spot but he wasted his effort for the second time this season.
Liverpool moved up to eighth on that score but their share of the spoils meant Jurgen Klopp’s men couldn’t close the gap between them and the top four.
Liverpool moved up to eighth on that score but their share of the spoils meant Jurgen Klopp’s men couldn’t close the gap between them and the top four. Salah was named Standard Player of the Month for the second time this season after winning the December award. In March, he became the club’s top scorer in the Premier League, overtaking Robbie Fowler after scoring in the Manchester United defeat.
Three of the Reds’ next games will come against sides at the bottom of the Premier League table, with two coming from Anfield – Leeds United on Monday and West Ham in the penultimate game of the month.
And Salah will be hoping his positive second-half performance against the north London side can be the spark for a strong end to what has been a volatile season.
“[Arsenal] top of the table, we played a good game against them, they’re a very good team,” he told Liverpool’s official website. “But I think we dominated the game, especially in the second half, we were unlucky with a few chances.
“I hope it will give us a boost for the next games.”
On breaking Fowler’s record, he added: “It’s really good to be fair – one of the best times for me in football. I had so much fun and was so happy to break the record. It was a great day and I was so happy with the record.”
