Monday’s trip from Liverpool to Leicester City could feature a VAR for the first time as Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) head Howard Webb is reportedly a guest on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football studio.
The technology has been in the spotlight regularly since its introduction in the English top flight. This season in particular, calls have increased for audio to be transmitted between the match referee and officials at Stockley Park in an effort to bring clarity to controversial decisions.
In a report from The Mirror, the Premier League is said to seek to allow viewers to hear talks between the referee and VAR officials for the first time since the technology was introduced, with Webb joining experts Jamie Carragher and Gary from 6.30pm Neville adds. one and a half hours before kick-off at King Power Stadium.
