Manchester United got a huge injury surge during Liverpool’s top four battle
Manchester United bring back top scorer Marcus Rashford for Premier League run
Manchester United’s hopes of securing a top four finish ahead of Liverpool have been boosted as Marcus Rashford returns to training ahead of their next trip to Bournemouth.
The England international sat out United’s 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon when goals from Anthony Martial and Alejandro Garnacho secured all three vital points.
However, on Wednesday morning, Rashford was photographed on the training ground at the Red Devils’ Carrington training camp.
Fourth-placed United have three games left in the Premier League and are currently a point and a place ahead of the fifth-placed Reds.
Liverpool will receive Aston Villa on Saturday and travel to already relegated Southampton on the final day of the season. They need the Red Devils or third-placed Newcastle United to drop points at least twice if they are to secure a seventh consecutive season in the Champions League.
Rashford has been in fine form for Erik Ten Hag’s side this season, scoring 29 goals in 53 appearances in all competitions.
The United boss is expected to deliver an update on Rashford’s condition in Thursday’s pre-match press conference.
