Manchester United player ratings: VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS AS Casemiro and Victor Lindelof good against Chelsea

Manchester United player ratings: VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS AS Casemiro and Victor Lindelof good against Chelsea

Man United beat Chelsea in the penultimate Premier League game of the season and here is the player rating.

    David de Gea

Had a lot of tries and had to save after the break. Joao Felix’s late goal ruined the Golden Glove winner’s chances of playing clear. 7

    Aaron Wan-Bissaka

He again enjoyed the good relationship with Antony but backed off to give Lewis Hall the space to break in and create two big chances for Chelsea. 6

    Raphael Varane

His usual elegance. Varane was unlikely to have any problems with a weak squad without a recognized striker. 8th

    Victor Lindelf

I slipped at first, but I didn’t slip. He moved into midfield to turn defense into attack which Bruno Fernandes finished with a knock on the wood. 8th

    Luke Shaw

Not at his usual high level and came on at half-time for Tyrell Malacia on what was likely a forced play. 6

    Casemiro

Scored the first goal with an adventurous attack and made the second possible. Another version of Empire against Chelsea. 9

    Christian Eriksen

His football without insufficiency was immediately with the money for Casemiro and had a possibility from Close Road through Kepa Arrizabalaga. 7

    Antonio

He arrived in the first half with an apparently serious ankle injury after a Trevoh Chalobah tackle. He had been seriously involved before his removal. 6

    Bruno Fernandes

He had a decent screaming penalty, but his reputation preceded him. Slammed the bar and his decision making let him down with another opening. Finally, I had a penalty and I shot it. 7

    Jadon Sancho

One of United’s weakest players until he took Casemiro’s pass and put it on the plate for Anthony Martial to score. Better in the second half. 6

    Antoine Martial

Similar to Sancho until he scored to make it 2-0 five minutes into added time in the first half. His last two goals were tap-ins. 6

    submarines

    Marcus Rashford

An early arrival since Antony was kidnapped. He scored his 30th goal of the season. 7

    Tyrell Malacia

    Reserve. 6

    Alejandro Garnacho

    Beat the bar. 7

    Fred

    Energy carried. 7

    Scott McTominay

    I’m getting late. 6

    Manager

The unchanged team was not warranted, but the two fortuitous starters combined to effectively kill the race. 7

Chelsea player ratings vs Man Utd: When will the embarrassment end? Kai Havertz and Mykhailo Mudryk fail again for Hopeless Blues

Missed chances cost Frank Lampard’s side dearly, but second-half defensive mistakes resulted in yet another away defeat.

Chelsea can’t wait for the season to end after suffering yet another defeat at the hands of Manchester United. The Blues lost 4-1 at Old Trafford as Frank Lampard’s young strikers withered on the night United booked their return to the Champions League.
Kai Havertz, Mykhailo Mudryk and Conor Gallagher were guilty of missing out on big first-half chances, and Chelsea paid for their debauchery as goals from Casemiro and Anthony Martial gave United control at half-time.
Two mistakes by Wesley Fofana made things worse after the break, as Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford went on the scoresheet, before substitute Joao Felix took late comfort with fine individual goals.

    Goalkeeper and defense

    Kepa Arrizabalaga (6/10):

You can’t blame yourself for any of the goals. Safe possession and a good save to save Eriksen early in the second half.

    Cesar Azpilicueta (6/10):

Made some important defensive interventions. Age may be starting to catch up with him.

    Wesley Fofana (3/10):

He was fooled by Fernandes, conceding the penalty and feeding the ball into his own area for Rashford’s goal.

    Trevoh Chalobah (6/10):

Recovered from a shaky start. Interesting to see what role he will play next season.

    Lewis Room (8/10):

Chelsea’s best player by far. Mudryk and Havertz cost him two assists in the first half and injured De Gea in the second half.

    Midfielder

    Conor Gallagher (5/10):

Energetic in an advanced midfield role but lacks the required quality. Dragged wide when well placed at 1-0.

    Enzo Fernández (6/10):

He needs more qualities around him to really see him shine. Some nice passages.

    Carney Chukwuemeka (5/10):

Struggling to make much of an impression playing in what was only his second league start for the Blues.
    attack.

    Noni Madueke (5/10):

He seemed to be decisive with his passing and dribbling, but he was struggling to attract much attention.

    Kai Havertz (2/10):

Even before missing the goal at close range, he seemed overwhelmed. The need for a natural #9 is obvious.

    Mykhailo Mudryk (3/10):

Showed good changes of pace but lacked composure in the penalty area. Missed a huge chance at 0-0.
    Subcontractors and manager.

    João Felix (7/10):

Beautiful individual gateway to comfort. Whoever has it at the start of next season has a real player.

    Christian Pulisic (6/10):

Clearly keen to impress and nearly created a chance with a fierce ball over the box.

    Hakim Ziyech (n/a):

At 4-0 Lampard continues the substitutions.
    Davide Datro Fofana (n/a):

    Given a delay.

    Reuben Loftus-wang (n/d):

Presented only in the last minutes.

    Frank Lampard (5/10):

They sent Chelsea’s youngest ever Premier League XI and in another night they could have scored three or four. However, it is clear that he is failing to instill confidence in his players at this late stage of the season.
