Kim Min-jae faces Man Utd move, Chelsea star could replace him at Napoli
Napoli could re-sign Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly on loan, Kim Min-jae is set to join Manchester United this summer, Il Mattino reports.
The Red Devils have been constantly linked with Min-jae in recent weeks and Il Mattino insists the South Korean will sign for the club soon.
The Italian publication add that the Napoli club could consider Koulibaly as a replacement for the centre-back. You might suggest borrowing it.
The Senegalese star is open to a return to Napoli but it depends on the Blues’ willingness to accept a temporary deal with a wage-sharing deal. Min-jae could be headed to Man Utd
United recently secured their Champions League place with a convincing win over Chelsea. This is a big boost for them to search for Min-jae this summer.
The 26-year-old has reportedly given the green light for a transfer and qualification for the elite club competition has put United in a strong position to sign him.
Min-jae has almost no weaknesses in his game. He is a ball-playing defender averaging over 70 passes per appearance. He averages 1.6 tackles and 3.6 clearances.
The centre-back has also caught the eye with his superb heading skills. Therefore, his signing for United is a no-brainer and could be signed for a reasonable transfer fee.
He has a €60m release clause in his current deal with Napoli, but United will have to wait until July to sign him. The redemption clause applies to the first 15 days of July.
