After securing the national championship, Ryan Day appeared at the postgame press conference subtly targeting his Big 10 rivals, Michigan. He wore an Ohio State-themed shirt reading “No Asterisk,” implying that Michigan’s CFB title from last year was questionable.
He further stated: “Anyway, it’s always been Ohio against the world, and tonight showed, despite what the critics said, that the world never had a chance. With this win, my Buckeyes are the national champions. And unlike those guys from Ann Arbor, ours doesn’t have an asterisk. See you next year.”
