BREAKING: Boston Red Sox Reportedly Submits Irresistible Long-Term Offer To Alex Bregman

With MLB’s free agency frenzy behind us and spring training approaching, attention has shifted to a well-known name still available on the market.

Alex Bregman is yet to secure a new contract as February nears. Despite entering the offseason as one of the top position players available, his free agency has extended beyond when other stars like Juan Soto, Teoscar Hernández, and Anthony Santander finalized their deals.

In a recent update, KPRC2’s Ari Alexander shed light on Bregman’s situation.

“The Athletic reported the Astros’ six-year, $156 million offer to Bregman earlier this offseason remains on the table,” Alexander wrote.

“According to four league sources, the Astros are one of at least three teams that have extended Bregman a five-year or longer deal this offseason.”

The other teams with long-term offers for Bregman remain unnamed, but since free agency began in November, the Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers have been most commonly linked to the star third baseman in rumors. The Toronto Blue Jays have also been mentioned as a potential landing spot.

A decision from Bregman doesn’t appear to be imminent, as his agent, Scott Boras, is known for taking his time in negotiations.
