BREAKING: Red Sox To Land Top Infielder In $480 Million Contract Got Fans AMazed.
Toronto Blue Jays infielder is set to hit free agency following the 2025 season. While there’s a possibility the Blue Jays could trade him before the MLB trade deadline, it seems unlikely as they are reportedly looking to re-sign him this offseason.
Jim Bowden of The Athletic recently linked Guerrero to the Boston Red Sox as a potential destination in 2026. Reports have suggested that Guerrero could land a contract between $480 million and $600 million.

“Fenway Park would be an ideal fit for Guerrero; he has excelled there with a career 1.054 OPS and could dominate the Green Monster for years,” Bowden noted. “Boston is reportedly a destination that interests him, but there are several hurdles that could make it difficult for the Red Sox to be a serious contender.”
The Red Sox were aggressive in their pursuit of Juan Soto during the 2024 offseason, demonstrating that they have the financial resources to target a superstar like Guerrero. However, with Rafael Devers and Triston Casas occupying the corner infield positions, Guerrero wouldn’t have a clear defensive role. While Boston would undoubtedly make room for a player of his caliber, it would likely mean shifting Casas to a designated hitter role.
Acquiring Guerrero would be a monumental move for the Red Sox, provided they can afford it. With other big-market teams expected to pursue him, the competition for his services will likely be intense.
