COLUMBUS, Ohio — Excitement is building in Columbus as both the Ohio State University Women’s Tennis and Men’s Tennis teams are set to host NCAA Tournament first and second round matches this weekend. The Buckeyes earned the right to host after stellar seasons, and both squads will kick off their NCAA campaigns against Buffalo in the opening round.
The Ohio State Women’s Tennis team, currently ranked among the nation’s top programs, will face Buffalo in their first-round matchup at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center. Meanwhile, the Men’s Tennis team, also a dominant force this season, will take to the courts against the same opponent in their respective bracket.
“This is a great opportunity for both of our programs to showcase their hard work and compete on our home courts in front of our fans,” said Head Coach Ty Tucker. “We’re excited to get started and look forward to a strong showing.”
Should the Buckeyes advance, they will face the winners of the other first-round matches in the second round, also to be held in Columbus.
With both teams aiming for deep tournament runs, the atmosphere on campus is electric. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Scarlet and Gray as they chase NCAA glory.
