🚨 Rúben Amorim Confirms Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo to Miss Next Match

Manchester United head coach Rúben Amorim has confirmed that both Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo will be unavailable for the club’s upcoming fixture, dealing a blow to United’s midfield options at a crucial point in the season.

Speaking ahead of the next match, Amorim revealed that neither player is ready to return to action, although he offered reassurance that their absences will not be long-term concerns.

According to the United boss, both midfielders are progressing well in their recovery programs, with Mainoo expected to return sooner than club captain Bruno Fernandes.

“Neither of them will be available for the next match,” Amorim said. “They’re both recovering well and won’t be out for too long, with Mainoo expected back sooner than Bruno. I have an idea of when Bruno might return, but let’s wait and see.”
The absence of Fernandes is particularly significant for Manchester United.

As captain and creative leader, Bruno has been central to United’s attacking play, contributing goals, assists, and leadership during difficult moments. His unavailability will force Amorim to reshuffle his attacking midfield options and potentially adjust his tactical approach.

Kobbie Mainoo’s injury also comes at an unfortunate time. The young midfielder has become an increasingly important figure in United’s midfield, praised for his composure, intelligence, and ability to control games despite his age.

Amorim’s indication that Mainoo could return sooner will be a relief to supporters, especially given the team’s current injury list.

Amorim also confirmed that Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire remain sidelined, further limiting United’s options in defense. With both centre-backs unavailable, United may be forced to rely on alternative partnerships or adjust their defensive structure to cope with upcoming fixtures.

The growing list of injuries highlights the challenges Amorim faces as he looks to maintain consistency and competitiveness. Squad depth will be tested, and fringe players may now have an opportunity to step up and make an impact in the absence of key figures.
Despite the setbacks, Amorim’s comments struck an optimistic tone.

The fact that none of the injuries are expected to be long-term offers hope that United will soon have several important players back in contention. Managing their returns carefully will be crucial to avoid further complications later in the season.

For now, Manchester United supporters will have to wait and see how the team adapts without two of its most influential midfielders, while closely monitoring updates on their recovery timelines as the fixtures continue to come thick and fast.
