Andre Onana – Made a couple of excellent saves to preserve his clean sheet. His kicking was hit and miss. 6/10

Diogo Dalot – Caught napping defensively on a couple of occasions but got away with it. Played in a lovely ball for the stunning opener. 6/10

Harry Maguire – Another solid outing. Didn’t look threatened by Calvert-Lewin. Won many headers. Positionally sound. 7/10

Victor Lindelof – Sometimes outmuscled by his opponent, but on the whole he did just enough. 6/10

Luke Shaw – So nice to see him back out there. Seemed to help with the confidence levels. 6/10

Kobbie Mainoo – His first start. A comfortable Man of the Match outing. Was so calm and composed on the ball. Dealt with the press well. Made some important blocks and tackles. 8/10

Scott McTominay – Steady. Kept it simple and worked hard for the cause. 6/10

Bruno Fernandes – Played in a lovely ball for the killer third. His passing was erratic before that point. 6/10

Alejandro Garnacho – Scored what could well be the goal of the season with an outrageous overhead kick. Worked hard on both sides of the ball. Great. 8/10

Marcus Rashford – Tucked away his penalty nicely and it seemed to give him a little bit of confidence. He still has to kick it up a few more gears before he’s close to being his best. 6/10

Anthony Martial – Pretty good given the lack of minutes recently. Took his goal super well. Worked hard. 7/10

Subs:

Sofyan Amrabat – Was decent enough.

Facundo Pellistri – Looked threatening.

Hannibal – Worked hard.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Made some important tackles.
