Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise reportedly prefers a transfer to Manchester United at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has been linked with several clubs in the Premier League recently thanks to his performances for the South London club. Having missed the first portion of the campaign with a hamstring complaint, Olise has made up for lost time.
In just nine appearances, the forward has bagged five goals and his absence for Palace has been felt massively. Come the summer, Olise will have three years remaining on his contract at Selhurst Park, but he is expected to leave.
Palace’s struggles in the Premier League will make it difficult for Roy Hodgson’s side to keep hold of their top talents. According to football.london, United will be in pole position if or when clubs come calling.
It is understood Chelsea hold a firm interest in Olise, and the Stamford Bridge club even activated his £35m release clause last summer. However, the forward chose to extend his stay at Palace instead.
Despite the Blues being known admirers, Olise has his heart set on the Reds thanks to his lifelong support for the club. The report adds that Erik ten Hag’s scouting department is keeping a watchful eye on the 22-year-old ahead of potentially making a move this summer.
United will likely be in the market for another winger at the end of the season. Jadon Sancho is due to leave the club permanently after his public fallout with Ten Hag, while Antony has underwhelmed in his second campaign in Manchester.
