HERE WE GO: Kylian Mbappe joins Manchester United on a 5yr deal, paperwork done as medical schedule to hold today – welcome star boy

Manchester United are in no position to attract the best of players in the world but they are still linked with them.

The biggest transfer saga being discussed in the media is that of Kylian Mbappe, whose future at Paris Saint-Germain is up in the air.

The Times recently reported that the French international has rejected the chance to move to Real Madrid and would now prefer to join a Premier League club.

Adding to that, renowned Spanish outlet, Sport, covered a story and claimed (news image provided below), in the coming weeks, the PSG star could open talks to listen to the proposals of the English clubs.

The Catalan news source have mentioned that the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea would be willing to agree the signing of Mbappe if the economic conditions are not insurmountable.

The 25-year-old has got a market value of 180 million euros (£154million) but he is free to agree a pre-contract this month with clubs outside France.

Even on a free transfer, the World Cup winning playmaker is going to cost a lot.

Sport claim no club will pay him the amounts on offer at Paris, so, Mbappe will have to make an effort himself i.e. to lower demands.

The former Monaco man is one of the highest earning stars in the world and takes home around 75 million euros per season (The Athletic).

In all fairness, for Man Utd to have any chance of attracting Kylian Mbappe, they must earn a place in the UEFA Champions League.

United finished bottom of the CL group this season and based on their current position and form in the PL, it looks highly unlikely that we will take part in the Europe’s elite competition next term.
