Manchester United fans spotted what Omari Forson did before Kobbie Mainoo’s goal, have strong opinions
Manchester United are worried about Omari Forson’s future amid an expiring contract. This is appearing to make Erik ten Hag even more determined to play him, to show him where his future is.
Forson made a big impression on Ten Hag in pre-season, and in January he made his first team debut in the FA Cup.
Ten Hag is said to believe Forson a bigger talent than Facundo Pellistri, and in the last two games, he has selected him as a substitute, and left Amad on the bench.
Omari Forson helps Manchester United win
Kobbie Mainoo scored the winning goal for Manchester United against Wolves, netting a memorable 97th minute strike, his first Premier League goal.
The assist was credited to Omari Forson. It was a relatively simple one for Forson to rack up, a short pass to Mainoo outside the box, who then dribbled through the defence and scored, but they all count.
Forson can now boast of one assist in five minutes of Premier League playing time. Antony has none in 928 minutes.

The 19-year-old did not have a lot of time to show what he can do, but he was direct, seemed to play with purpose, and can only benefit from getting some important game time.
Hopefully it will be enough to help him decide to sign a new contract at Old Trafford.
Manchester United fans react
Manchester United supporters were glad to see Forson get onto the pitch and make an impact, with strong opinions praising the rising star.
It was not just the pass which caught the eye, with fans spotting Forson’s subsequent run off the ball which created space for Mainoo to attack.
One fan wrote: “Mainoo gonna get the plaudits, as he should. But, credit to Forson for the hold up play.”
A second added: “I want to give Forson a lot of credit here as well. Keeps the ball under a lot of pressure, passes the ball, and makes a great run taking away a player who was ready to stand Mainoo up.”
A third fan commented: “Just noticed the role Forson plays in this goal. Great strength and close control, then makes the run to create space for Mainoo to shoot. Positive contribution.”
Another added: “Please don’t overlook the movement of Forson to draw the defender out left to create the space for Mainoo to take on the shot.”
And a fifth fan praised: “You see the run Omari Forson made to take the defender away to open the space for Mainoo? Hojlund isn’t making that run and if he is, he will be late to make the move. Little detail but crucial. Without that run, Mainoo has no chance.”
Another said: “I hope Forson stays in the team, La Carrington is really talented.”
