Liverpool are preparing for their Premier League return tonight against Everton.
Here’s a look at the expected Liverpool squad that will be available to take on Everton barring any late injury concerns.
Goalkeepers: Adrian, Alisson, Caoimhin Kelleher.
Defenders: Andy Robertson, Calvin Ramsay, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Kostas Tsimikas, Nat Phillips, Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Midfielders: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones, Fabinho, Fabio Carvalho, Harvey Elliott, James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Stefan Bajcetic. The Reds host their closest rivals at Anfield in the latest installment of the Merseyside derby. Liverpool will be looking for ways to win again against their enemies around Stanley Park.
Jürgen Klopp had to deal with numerous injury problems during the match. Thiago Alcantara is now sidelined with a hip problem and unavailable for an unspecified period.
Despite this, Liverpool have been boosted this week with some of their other players injured. Diogo Jota has returned to training and could face Everton.
Virgil van Dijk, Roberto Firmino and Arthur Melo also took part in training but it remains to be seen if any of the three will be at risk against Everton. Ibrahima Konate and Luis Diaz remain absent for the time being.
Forwards: Ben Doak, Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah.
Eliminated: Arthur Melo (muscle problem), Luis Diaz (knee), Roberto Firmino (calf injury), Virgil van Dijk (hamstring), Ibrahima Konate (hamstring), Thiago Alcantara (hip injury).

Klopp is going nowhere! The Liverpool manager remains “100% committed” despite the Reds’ terrible campaign
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed he will not be leaving Liverpool, insisting he is “100 per cent committed” to reviving the Reds’ fortunes.
WHAT HAPPENED? The Reds go into Monday night’s Merseyside derby with Everton in tenth place in the Premier League, having won just eight of their first 20 games. Their decline this season has led some to suggest that Klopp, who only signed a contract to keep him at the club until 2026 last April, could step down as manager, but the German has emphatically denied any such suggestion.
WHAT THEY ARE SAYING: Klopp told reporters: “I understand people feel that way, but I’m not going and I can’t go. I have too many responsibilities and I want it, and I want to fix it again.
“It’s a tough time, I’m not enjoying it, but if we were able to show during this tough time that this club is so special because we believe in everything – or people believe in me – then we have to get through together because when we go out we will have a good time again.
“I’m 100% committed here. When we win I feel like I’m part of it, but when we lose I feel 100% responsible, I’ve always been like that in my life, so you can imagine how much of a responsibility it is right now and how I feel now and we will do absolutely everything to overcome this and prepare for the future again in a very positive way.”
OVERVIEW: Klopp is aware that big changes will have to be made at Anfield this summer as a number of players are out of contract and his squad, especially his midfield, need significant reinforcements. Fenway Sports Group, the club’s owners, are said to be ready to provide him with funds to strengthen him, with Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, Wolves’ Matheus Nunes and Chelsea and England’s Mason Mount among the Reds’ transfer targets. WHAT’S NEXT FOR LIVERPOOL? The Reds entertain Everton in the Merseyside derby on Monday night (20:00 GMT) before traveling to Newcastle on Saturday (17:30 GMT).

Liverpool get their best news ahead of Everton game this year
Jurgen Klopp deserves some luck and it looks like his Liverpool side have finally gotten it, with an unlikely triple boost that will boost their first four chances.
Diogo Jota appears to be the star closest to a comeback, while Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk are also not far from returning to play. The Reds are in desperate need of reinforcements in a league where the club are winless in 2023 after a dismal performance at Molineux last week.
With a clash against Everton looming, there’s no better time for Liverpool to score wins. Of course, while the form suggests players like Chelsea have no chance of making the top four this season, it will only be a matter of time before the signings start clicking through. The performances of Enzo Fernández and João Félix indicate the first signs of understanding and Graham Potter’s side are 16 games away.
For Spurs, who are without Yves Bissouma this season, the north London club are now anxiously awaiting Rodrigo Bentancur, who suffered a serious injury during the terrible defeat to Leicester. Conte has seen the challenge come into his hands due to the pressure on his defensive style of play, and that factor looks set to play into Liverpool’s hands.
This triple advantage of losing points against rivals is obviously only relevant if Liverpool can take advantage of the situation. Performance so far in 2023 indicates things should improve, but at a time when the Reds need luck, the dominoes could finally fall in Klopp’s favour. Luis Díáz isn’t too far from a return and, alongside the obvious advantages he adds to the starting XI, the Colombia international can also help Cody Gakpo settle into Merseyside more quickly.
As Liverpool prepare for the final stages of the Premier League season, there are positives to report amid a storm that has damaged the confidence of some. The season that threatened to derail an injury crisis instead stayed on track, albeit with a little help from other results.
And given the performance of Klopp’s side over recent seasons, it’s an element of deserved luck after the misfortune that saw Liverpool miss out on two Premier League titles by a single point. It is still up to Klopp and the team to capitalize, but a lifeline is the least this team needs.
