Chelsea vs Liverpool simulation to get score, prediction  and lineup for Premier League clash

Liverpool visit West London on Tuesday night to face Chelsea in the Premier League, with a win bigger than ever for Jürgen Klopp’s side

Liverpool need to avoid a third consecutive Premier League defeat to keep their Champions League hopes alive for next season when they face Chelsea on Tuesday.

A mediocre second-half performance from Liverpool saw the Reds lose 4–1 to Manchester City in their last appearance, taking the Reds to eighth in the table and eight points clear of the top four in the Premier League. It was another bad defensive performance from Jürgen Klopp. A win against Chelsea on Tuesday night will reduce the gap to five points, although the Reds would have played a game more than fourth-placed Manchester United.

With 11 league games remaining, victory looks vital for Liverpool, even if it will be a tough test against Chelsea, who face a new manager following the sacking of Graham Potter. The last five encounters between the two sides have ended in draws, most recently a 0-0 draw in January.

So could the Reds take three points against Chelsea on Tuesday? We simulated the game and it happened.

Chelsea vs Liverpool mock to get score prediction

To complete this simulation, we used FIFA 23 and updated the teams with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict the Blues could line up in a 3-4-3 formation, with their lineup as follows: Kepa; Chalobah, Koulibaly, Badiashile; James, Fernández, Kovačić, Chilwell; Mont, Havertz, Felix.

Darwin Nunez made it 1-0 for Liverpool

After James Milner expropriated Enzo Fernández in the middle, the Englishman sent a long ball forward for Núñez to chase. The Uruguayan used his pace and power to force his way past Trevoh Chalobah and fire on target, and his curling effort found its way under Kepa’s body to give Liverpool a 1-0 lead.

Liverpool appeared to dominate the rest of the game, but they eased off the accelerator after taking the lead, allowing Chelsea to get back into the game. The Blues made a handful of subs as they started to take control, and they found some compensation for Klopp’s frustration.

Noni Madueke scored the 1:1

Ben Chilwell sent a deep cross to Noni Madueke at the far post and an awkward rebound saw Andrew Robertson scrape his clearance straight through the air. Alisson came off his line to try to reach the loose ball but a brave header from Madueke saw the winger smash Alisson and Robertson for the second ball and scored level.

It was only Chelsea’s fourth shot of the game, with a measly 15 minutes from Liverpool, that put the Blues back in the game. Klopp made some changes himself and with 12 minutes left his side regained the lead.

Diogo Jota made it 2-1 for Liverpool

As the Reds worked the ball around Chelsea’s penalty area, Fabinho spotted Diogo Jota in space just outside the box and the Brazilian found the striker with a pass drilled into his feet. A fantastic first touch allowed Jota to score and despite deflecting en route to goal, his try beat Kepa to secure the win. FIFA 23 Expected Final Score: Chelsea 1-2 Liverpool

FIFA 23 predicts that Liverpool could score a big win against Chelsea, winning 2-1 in the simulation. The Reds were most dangerous from the corners and during the stoppage of the simulation, perhaps showing how the Reds should attack the Blues on Tuesday night.
