We simulated Liverpool vs Tottenham to get the Premier League results prediction

Liverpool host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, so we’ve simulated what could be a big game in the battle for a top four spot

Liverpool have a chance of securing four straight wins and bolstering their first four Premier League hopes when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday.

Goals from Cody Gakpo and Joel Matip saw Liverpool win 2-1 in their last game against West Ham United, making it three Premier League wins in a row. It is the first time this season that the Reds have done so and they will be looking to continue their impressive form when they face Spurs.

The north London side have won just one of their last six games but are still one point ahead of Liverpool after playing one game more. A victory for Jurgen Klopp’s men would put them above their opponents. Score Liverpool vs Spurs predicted by the simulation
To complete this simulation, we used FIFA 23 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We expect Liverpool could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with the line-up as follows: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Jota.

We expect Spurs could line up in a 3-4-3, with their line-ups as follows: Forster; Romero, Dier, Lenglet; Porro, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Davies; Kulusevski, Kane, Son.
It was a very close first half at Anfield with both teams creating decent chances but neither team being able to find the net. However, Liverpool started first after the restart and took a deserved lead through Curtis Jones.

A long forward pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold picked up Jordan Hednerson down the right, and the midfielder carried the ball all the way to the touchline before passing it back to Mohamed Salah. Instead of shooting, Salah lobbed a pass to Jones and the Englishman produced a brutal rabona finish to lift the ball over Fraser Forster to make it 1-0.

But minutes later, the Reds were leading 1-1 again. Spurs beat Liverpool’s top line to break through on goal before Harry Kane put the ball through Alisson’s legs.
Klopp then brought in Thiago and Luis Diaz to try and turn the game back in his team’s favor – and it worked, with the latter restoring the lead.

While Spurs had possession in Liverpool’s half, Alexander-Arnold intercepted a pass before lobbing the ball forward for Diaz to chase. The Colombian snatched the ball away before aiming for Cristian Romero down the left and one-on-one the winger rolled past Forster to score Liverpool’s second goal of the afternoon and his first goal since returning from injury.

Gakpo hit the post just before Tottenham came up the other end and did the same, Kane missing a huge chance to equalize his side.Smelling blood, Spurs threw bodies forward but they were left exposed at the back and Jones grabbed a second to secure the three points.

The Reds met Spurs again at the break, with Thiago leading a four-to-one attack. Playing against Andrew Robertson in the overlap, the Spaniard drilled a cross into the box where Jones tapped into the net for a big win. Predicted FIFA 23 result: Liverpool 3-1 Spurs
FIFA 23 predicts that Liverpool could have four straight wins and beat Tottenham 3-1 in the simulation. Curtis Jones continued his fine form with two goals but Spurs were dangerous at the break, showing the Reds need to remain cautious.
