Romano claims the La Liga club strategies to sign Manchester United’s talent
Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri is being sought after by Sevilla in the hope of signing a new contract to stay at Old Trafford.
United sold a number of young players during the summer to raise funds for the first team.
Players such as Nathan Bishop, Ethan Laird and Zidane Iqbal have all left United as they looked to play first-team football elsewhere.
There are also rumors of the departure of Hannibal Mejbri, who spent last season on loan at Birmingham City.
Reports from Ettachkila in Tunisia suggest Hannibal could be lured away from United permanently in a deal worth up to £17m. However, this did not happen and Hannibal’s stay at Old Trafford has now paid off…
Hannibal is about to sign a new contract with Manchester United
Hannibal really made an impact off the bench against Brighton & Hove Albion, with his goal being one of the few bright spots.
The Tunisian international also started in the match against Burnley last weekend and had an impressive performance.
Erik ten Hag praised Hannibal for his ‘impeccable work’ against the Clarets and it seems United are serious about securing their future.
Reports from the Manchester Evening News earlier this week suggested United are keen to open talks over a new contract.
The 20-year-old is out of contract next summer, but United have the option to extend his contract – and clearly want the solidity of a long-term deal. Sevilla wants Hannibal
However, there is still interest elsewhere as Fabrizio Romano claims Sevilla are keen.
Romano claims Sevilla want to sign Hannibal in July and are still monitoring the United midfielder ahead of a possible move.
Romano noted that United are considering offering Hannibal a new contract, but the midfielder is focused on playing as many games as possible.

This means that a new deal with United is not necessarily a done deal; He will need to find a way to get consistent minutes in the first team before signing a new contract.
Sevilla will monitor the situation very closely and could give Hannibal the opportunity to shine in Spain during the January transfer window, or even next summer.
