Manchester United hope to have at least three players back vs Crystal Palace
After beating Crystal Palace in the League Cup with 11 players absent, Man United hope to have some back for the Premier League rematch.
Manchester United will assess Sergio Reguilon, Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay ahead of their Premier League rematch with Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The trio missed the 3-0 League Cup victory over Palace on Tuesday evening through illness but the four-day gap between the domestic matches offers ample recovery time.
Reguilon did not report at United’s Carrington training complex after the win at Burnley, where he requested to play despite feeling unwell.
It is common practice for United to send unwell players home or request they stay away from their training ground to avoid a spread through the squad. Eriksen and McTominay reported for training on Monday and were due to be in the matchday squad against Palace.
Lisandro Martinez is still suffering from soreness in his right foot, having fractured a metatarsal bone against Sevilla in April. Martinez has missed the last two games but United sources insist his injury is not major.
Martinez could also be back this weekend but the return of Raphael Varane from injury leaves manager Erik ten Hag with four centre-backs to select from and United have two more home games against Galatasaray and Brentford next week.
