Manchester United have endured a difficult start to the season and they need a win against Galatasaray on Tuesday night.
United began their Champions League campaign with a 4-3 defeat against Bayern Munich and beating the group stage opponents at Old Trafford will be crucial if Erik ten Hag’s side want to progress to the knockout rounds.
Galatasaray won the Turkish league by a clear margin of eight points last season and they have quality players such as Lucas Torreira, Dries Mertens, Mauro Icardi and former United player Wilfried Zaha in their squad.

United have little choice but to persist with Sofyan Amrabat at left-back, despite his disastrous day in the defeat to Palace. Victor Lindelof has been so poor this season that Harry Maguire is worth a recall.
Hannibal Mejbri was inexplicably unused at the weekend and could be an asset after a week’s ‘rest’. Bruno Fernandes often has an impact off the right and Alejandro Garnacho deserves a start on the left.

Ten Hag’s options are limited due to injury, so that means at least one makeshift choice at full-back. Amrabat shouldn’t be used in defence again, which could give Lindelof an undeserving lifeline on the right.
Eriksen should be fit enough to start now following his cameo at the weekend, and this could be the first proper chance to see what Mount can offer from the right wing.
Rashford doesn’t deserve to start, but Garnacho is far better as an impact player from the bench. Hojlund remains the only viable option through the middle.

I included Maguire in my preferred team to play Palace at the weekend and although Lindelof started at his expense, his performance was disappointing again and he should move to the bench for this game.
Hannibal should return to the side and Pellistri was anonymous at the weekend, which means playing Fernandes on the right is the logical approach. Antony only returned to training on Saturday and he can be involved from the bench.
There are calls for Rashford to lose his starting place but that would do more bad than good right now.
