Detroit Lions’ final Week 8 Injury Report Highlights and confirmed Tradeline Plans
The Detroit Lions are set for their only home game at Ford Field in a stretch of five games, facing a struggling 1-5 Tennessee Titans team. Here’s the final injury report for Week 8.
Injury Statuses:
DL Josh Paschal (illness) – Out
OG Christian Mahogany (illness) – Out
OG Kevin Zeitler (groin) – No designation
C Frank Ragnow (rest) – No designation
OT Taylor Decker (rest) – No designation
OG Graham Glasgow (rest) – No designation
DL Levi Onwuzurike (rest) – No designation
Coach Dan Campbell noted that the key players (Decker, Ragnow, Glasgow, Onwuzurike) had a rest day but fully participated in practice on Thursday and Friday, carrying no injury concerns for Sunday’s game.
Zeitler, who missed Week 7 due to a hip issue, is expected to return after completing three full practices this week. Paschal, however, missed all practices due to illness and confirmed he won’t play, addressing concerns related to a previous cancer diagnosis but assuring it’s not a long-term issue.
With Paschal out and given the injuries to Aidan Hutchinson and Marcus Davenport, the Lions’ defensive end lineup for Sunday includes Onwuzurike and rookie Mekhi Wingo. This situation may also present an opportunity for James Houston to showcase himself ahead of potential trades for an edge rusher.
Mahogany remains out as his 21-day window to be added to the active roster is closing. If he isn’t activated by next Tuesday, he will be sidelined for the season. Coach Campbell mentioned that Mahogany has been improving each week, indicating interest in keeping him progressing.
