New Azurite Sea Lorcana League Kit – Promos, Surprise Item + Reprinted Card?
Azurite Sea Lorcana League OP Kit Bucky Reprint
The new Lorcana League Kit for Azurite Sea is arriving at local game stores. Players can win new pins and promo cards, with another Lore Counter from a popular card art. There’s also a couple of fun surprises !
Azurite Sea League Kit Contents
This season’s League Kit contains everything your local games store will need to run the 12-week League: –
3 League posters, one for each round (four weeks each) of League play
6 sticker sheets, used to track League participation points – Double the last ones
18 table tents for numbering tables
1 reference sheet
Stores can use the contents however they like for events but the Lorcana League format is suggested. Some stores give parts of the kit away as prizes geared more toward winning. Some follow the the booklet and set up their league with points given out every week.

Throughout the season the kit prizes will be given out. If your store runs the league-suggested format, the more points you earn, the higher your chances of winning a card. It’s easy to get League points just by playing.

At the end of each round, character pins can be earned either by scoring points or randomly. Players with more than 8 points this season, who have attended multiple times, also have a chance to receive Disney Lorcana logo pins at random.
The new Lore Counter uses the art from Tinker Bell – Giant Fairy – Enchanted. Both the Enchanted and standard art were really popular, leading to the Tinker Bell Playmat.
Last season we got Winnie the Pooh – Hunny Wizard as a Lore Counter, following up on the playmat. With the matching card sleeves and deck box coming this set you could complete a set of play products. Could we be seeing something similar for Giant Fairy?

The two pins were again teased by a member of the Disney Lorcana team at a Challenge event a couple of months back. This continues a little tradition of showing them off at official events before their release.

If you’re anything like us, the fact that we now have six ink color Logo pins but not two of each ink color character pin is driving you mad. If the characters had been Emerald and Steel it would have been perfect!
The new pin also matches up perfectly to the color of the old Purple “Maleficent” Logo Pin. So now you don’t need to collect it if you can get the new one.
Boxes!
Previous seasons have mixed up the prizing, with Dalmatian sleeves and an Alice deck box. For Azurite Sea they’ve gone with 12 Rescue Rangers Away! storage boxes. They seem to be simple cardboard boxes with the card art on top, the Disney Lorcana logo on the front, and decorations on the sides.

They’re a different size and design than the standard trove. It’ll be interesting to see what people think of these versus the previous prizes. Comment with your thoughts below.
Bucky Reprint?
Some stores also received a pack of corrected copies of Bucky – Squirrel Squeak Tutor with the new errata. The card was pretty problematic before, and when the errata was confirmed on the website it caused a stir as the first card to receive something like a ban.

The cards are foil, and stores seem to have all received different amounts. It’s worth noting that a promo Lorcana League Bucky was also given out in the second league kit. The app shows a corrected version of him for both prints.
The official Disney Lorcana X account tweeted that one card is meant to be given out for each full booster box of Azurite Sea bought. However, stores may give them out differently than this.
It’s worth noting you can still play the old card – just refer to the errata in the app. Getting an extra card from a store or in a booster box is pretty common in other TCGs too.

The new version has the announced changes that were shown in app previously. He was nerfed in three ways:
Ink cost upped to 3 from 2
Ward keyword removed
Card text changed from “Whenever you play a Floodborn character” to “Whenever you play a Floodborn character, if you used Shift to play them”
Now the conversation has moved on to whether another powerful Emerald card should be banned/nerfed. Diablo – Devoted Herald is clearly still a big issue in the meta, though when he was played with Bucky the combo was almost unbeatable.
What do you think about reprints? Is this the right way to give them out?
When Does This Season Start?
Local game stores are expected to have these available by the Shimmering Skies release on Friday, August 9. However, some stores may not receive the kits in time, and may hold sealed or draft tournaments during release weekend instead of their usual League events.
Extra Points
Each season, a list of suggested ways to earn extra League points is provided in the kit instructions. You might find a local League using them.
Teach someone how to play the Disney Lorcana TCG in the store
Bring someone new to play in the League
Wear something with a favorite animated Disney character on it
Play a themed deck, such as one featuring specific character cards or classifications. Examples include:
Little Semi-Demi-Mini-God: Have all three different animal forms of Maui in play
Bonus Point: Use one of them to banish an opponent’s Tamatoa
Inky Depths: Put four or more cards into your inkwell in a turn

How Does Lorcana League Work?
If you are new to playing in the League, it’s a fun, friendly way of playing locally in a weekly, organized format. It runs over twelve weeks aka a season. This is broken down into a round, which is four weeks.
You earn points for turning up, playing, winning games, and other things like bringing friends or teaching people to play. It’s a great way of learning to play, getting a few games in, and seeing what cards and decks work well.
Regular events like this are often called “weeklies“. Stores run them differently, so it’s worth finding out how your local runs theirs. Generally, there is an entry fee which often comes with a booster pack.
Some stores will have more competitive players and might give out prizing differently. Some stick to the Lorcana League format, and encourage friendly play and themes. Some aim the events more at kids or have a separate night for them.
At the end of each four-week round, some promo cards and character pins are given out to players. At the end of the third season, more promos and prizes are given out. It’s not very hard at all to get a prize, and some stores give out extra prizes that are left over.
If you’re new to the League, welcome! It’s a fun, friendly way to play regularly at your local store in a structured format. The League season lasts twelve weeks, divided into three four-week rounds.
You’ll earn points just for showing up, playing games, winning, and even for things like bringing friends or teaching new players. It’s a great way to learn the game, play a few rounds, and try out different cards and deck ideas.
These regular meetups are often called “weeklies,” but each store runs them a little differently, so check in with yours to see how they do it. There’s usually a small entry fee that often includes a booster pack.
Some stores may have a competitive crowd and might handle prizes differently, while others stick to the Lorcana League format, keeping things relaxed. Some even focus on events for kids or host a separate night just for them.
At the end of each four-week round, players can earn promo cards and character pins. At the end of the season, there are even more promos and prizes up for grabs. It’s not hard to earn a prize, and many stores hand out extra goodies they have left over.
The league instructions are up on the official site with all of the details, but stores have been sent them too.
