Brady Edmunds, a highly-touted 4-star quarterback in the 2027 class, has reportedly committed to Ohio State, choosing the Buckeyes over other top programs such as Michigan, Penn State, and Texas. Standing at 6’5” and hailing from Huntington Beach, California, Edmunds is ranked as the No. 2 quarterback in his class and one of the top overall prospects nationally. His decision was influenced by a strong family connection to Ohio State—his grandfather attended the university, and the program has been a family favorite for generations.

Edmunds expressed admiration for Ohio State’s offensive system and its reputation as a perennial championship contender. He praised head coach Ryan Day and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, highlighting their ability to develop quarterbacks and maintain a balanced, explosive offense. The visit to Ohio State, where he met extensively with the coaching staff and participated in team meetings, seemed to solidify his decision.

While Texas and other Power Four programs presented strong cases, the Buckeyes’ family-oriented environment and rich football tradition tipped the scales. With this commitment, Ohio State bolsters its future quarterback room, continuing to attract elite talent despite recent challenges in the Big Ten.
