Jeff Brohm, the former head coach of the Louisville Cardinals, has tragically passed away at the age of 57. Brohm was a distinguished figure in American football, both as a player and a coach.

 

Born on April 24, 1971, in Louisville, Kentucky, Jeff Brohm was a standout quarterback for the University of Louisville Cardinals from 1989 to 1993. After going undrafted in the 1994 NFL Draft, he embarked on a seven-season professional career, playing for teams including the San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, and Cleveland Browns. Transitioning to coaching, Brohm began as the head coach of the Louisville Fire in 2002. He returned to the University of Louisville in 2003, serving in various coaching roles, including quarterback coach, passing game coordinator, offensive coordinator, and assistant head coach. Brohm later served as head coach at Western Kentucky University from 2014 to 2016 and at Purdue University from 2017 to 2022.
