🍗 A homey Thanksgiving moment at a high-end mansion

On Thanksgiving 2025, Jennifer Lopez shared on social media a warm, intimate moment: she and her daughter Emme preparing the holiday feast together. Emme, now 17, joined her mom in the kitchen — the two chopping, baking, and roasting turkey, and checking on chocolate cakes in the oven.

Lopez posted several photos: in one she’s holding up a golden turkey; in another, she and Emme peer into the oven, attending to cakes. Their table was laden with a full holiday spread — pies, side dishes, rice, potato salad and more. She captioned the post simply: “These are a few of my favorite things… Happy Thanksgiving everybody I hope you all had a beautiful day.”

The imagery painted a warm portrait: amid Hollywood glamour and public scrutiny, Lopez showed a relatable, domestic side — a mother celebrating the holidays with her teen daughter, nurturing family bonds.

🏡 The mansion: former marital home, now a hard-to-shift asset

The setting for this Thanksgiving: the sprawling Bel Air mansion Lopez once shared with Ben Affleck. The property — a 38,000-square-foot estate on a 5-acre lot — features a luxurious range of amenities: a 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom main house; guest penthouse; guardhouse; caretaker’s house; a 12-car garage; and facilities like a gym, sports lounge, boxing ring, basketball and pickleball courts — plus parking for dozens of vehicles.

Lopez and Affleck purchased the home in May 2023. In July 2024, they listed it for sale at $68 million. But since their divorce was finalized in January 2025, the property has struggled to find a buyer. They eventually cut the asking price by $8 million to $60 million — then further to $52 million. 0search22

Even with the price reductions, the house remained unsold; in mid-2025 the pair removed it from the market, reportedly because they were reluctant to take a big loss.
