Strong message from Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund sent to Manchester United fans
Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho were part of an attack that split Copenhagen’s defense early in Wednesday’s Champions League clash. But after this spark was marred by a red card against Manchester United, the team went down 2-0 to 4-3.
The result certainly displayed a lack of resilience on United’s part, and the players must all pick themselves up.
Garnacho and Hojlund respond
Alejandro Garnacho looked crestfallen at the final whistle and had to be lifted up onto his feet by club captain Bruno Fernandes.
The teenager looked shattered by United’s late defeat, but the young forward does not want to stay down for too long. He is eager to put it right.
Garnacho made reference to Manchester United’s upcoming home game against Luton Town this coming Saturday.
He wrote on Instagram stories: “We ALL stay together. Go again Saturday.”
It is good to hear positive vibes from the youngster, and his words were echoed by striker Rasmus Hojlund.
The Dane wrote on Instagram stories “Heads up Reds. We go again on Saturday.”
Hojlund confidence has an impact.
With his two goals against Copenhagen, Rasmus Hojlund has now scored five goals in the Champions League, making him the league’s top scorer.
He hasn’t scored in the Premier League yet, but it won’t be long, as the midweek matchup will have bolstered his self-assurance.
Hojlund will try to start well this weekend against Luton at home in English football. If he does make the scoresheet, it will be one less burden for him to bear.
