Andre Onana’s comments show why he’s perfect for Erik ten Hag at Manchester United

Erik ten Hag could target former Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana in Man Utd’s summer transfer window
Manchester United are looking for a new first-choice goalkeeper and Erik ten Hag might just know him.
With David de Gea’s contract just a week away from expiration, he is still nowhere near signing a contract extension that would keep him at the club until next season.
With just seven days until he becomes a free agent, United have a big decision to make. It could very well be down to the feedback they get on the likelihood of a summer move for Andre Onana

The 27-year-old impressed in the recent Champions League final and earned praise for his commanding display, even though he finished on the losing side.
Onana has been recognized as one of football’s best goalkeepers in recent seasons and his performance in club football’s biggest match was another reminder of just how good he is.

Chelsea have just given Manchester United a transfer boost in talks with Mason Mount

Man Utd have reached personal agreements with Mason Mount and are negotiating a transfer fee with Chelsea.
There was excitement among Manchester United fans when reports of personal dealings with Mason Mount surfaced. The truth is that at Old Trafford it’s rarely a problem to agree personal terms in negotiations, which means fans should do their best not to get ahead of themselves until a transfer fee is agreed between United and Chelsea.
There are clearly exceptions to this general rule, such as last summer when a £15m fee was agreed with Juventus to sign Adrien Rabiot, whose wage demands were deemed too high, but that is usually the case. A disagreement over a player’s valuation is the most common obstacle and there was talk at the start of the period that Chelsea wanted more than £70m for Mount which would be too much.
Mount is 24, an England international and has yet to hit his cap, but his contract expires in the summer of 2024 and that context is factored into the fee director of football John Murtough is willing to pay for him. The player is keen on a move to Manchester and this week United made a second offer worth £50million for Mount, a deal which would see them pay an initial £45million fee, with a further £5million on top of that. -ons. While an improvement on the initial offer, Chelsea are left with around £15m more as part of the prepaid transfer fee. The London club have made a £60m counter offer, but United are hoping a compromise can be reached.
