Arsene Wenger has a theory about Sadio Mane’s strike at Bayern Munich

Former Liverpool striker Sadio

Mane has been at the center of controversy at Bayern Munich after an incident with Leroy Sane

Arsene Wenger believes a rift in the squad and management team is part of the reason behind the split between Liverpool icon Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane.

The Senegalese star has reportedly been fined €300,000 a week for playing him in a punch that left the former Manchester City forward with a bruised lip. The reason was an alleged incident on the pitch during the first leg defeat of the Champions League against Pep Guardiola.

reportedly punched his Bayern Munich teammate as the pair were set to be separated. He later apologized to the German international and his Bavarian teammates, but as part of his punishment he was ordered out of the 1-1 draw against TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday. He returned to the squad for the crucial clash against City, with the Citizens holding a three-goal advantage over their quarter-final rivals. Mane came on for Sane in the second half but failed to make a comeback at the Allianz Arena as they drew 1-1 and lost 1-4 on aggregate.

The only way to solve this problem is through communication. You have to create trust and communication in the locker room.

“A lot of the time when you have this problem with two players, you take them to the office and say ‘we can’t be successful if the players don’t work well together in the team’.”
