BREAKING: De Gea has found his next club.

David de Gea lined up for Cristiano Ronaldo reunion after Man Utd contract expires

He has made 545 appearances for Manchester United since joining from Atletico Madrid in 2011, but is currently a free agent after his contract expired on Friday.

David de Gea is a target for Al-Nassr the club Cristiano Ronaldo plays for in Saudi Arabia.

De Gea’s £375,000-a-week deal with Manchester United has expired and it’s unclear whether he will sign a new deal. The 32-year-old Spain international will face a pay cut to stay at Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag is unwilling to pay him another big salary.

The United boss is believed to be ready to pay De Gea £200,000 a week, but no more. The goalkeeper is a free agent as talks continue for extra time, putting Al-Nassr in the red. Saudis are believed to be willing to offer De Gea £250,000 a week contract

If De Gea joins Al-Nassr, he will have the chance to play alongside Ronaldo again. The Portuguese international, 38, joined Al-Nassr in January after being released by United two months earlier, becoming Saudi Arabia’s biggest football star.

As reported by The Sun, De Gea will have the option of a move to Saudi Arabia if renewal talks with United fail. There are rumors that he would prefer a new contract with the Red Devils, but there are no guarantees that this will happen. United are likely to lose two goalkeepers this summer, with Nottingham Forest following the signing of Dean Henderson. The 26-year-old former De Gea substitute spent last season on loan at the City Ground and is expected to be available for £25m.

Ten Hag is already looking for a new goalkeeper, although Inter Milan’s Andre Onana is not on his transfer list due to his price tag. Inter want £60m for the 27-year-old Cameroonian international, who played for Ten Hag at Ajax. As revealed by Mirror Football, Feyenoord’s Justin Bijlow and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Kevin Trapp are the two goalkeepers Ten Hag would like to sign to replace De Gea and Henderson. Feyenoord want £20m for Bijlow, 25, while Trapp, 32, is priced at £10m.

Al-Nassr is one of four clubs owned by the Public Investment Fund, Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, and is expected to compete for the Saudi Pro League title next season. They finished as runners-up last semester, five points behind champions Al-Ittihad.
