BREAKING; Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat flies to England after giving Man Utd transfer green light

Manchester United are interested in signing Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat, who has also attracted interest from West Ham and Saudi Arabia in the summer transfer window

Sofyan Amrabat will fly to England with Fiorentina on Friday amid continued speculation about a possible move to Manchester United.
Amrabat is currently in limbo, with his future still to be decided before the start of the 2023/24 season. The Moroccan international still has one year left on his contract with Fiorentina, but it seems increasingly unlikely that he will keep it.
The 26-year-old midfielder is desperate for a move to Old Trafford to reunite with his former manager Erik ten Hag.

Amrabat played two years with the Dutch at Utrecht and is eager to swap Serie A for the Premier League. He has a heart for United and has therefore rejected approaches from West Ham and Saudi Arabia. United have yet to make an official offer for Amrabat, but the fact that he lands in England on Friday could facilitate any rapprochement.

Indeed, Amrabat is part of the Fiorentina squad that will face Newcastle in a pre-season friendly at St James Park on Saturday afternoon. La Viola then meet Nice at Tyneside on Sunday to prepare for the upcoming season.
Amrabat is still part of Vincenzo Italiano’s squad despite ongoing speculation over his future. Fiorentina are well aware of the interest from United, West Ham and Saudi Arabia and would like around 30 million euros for the signing of Amrabat.

Atletico Madrid and Barcelona had already been linked but Amrabat would prefer a move to Old Trafford. After shining for Morocco in their run-up to the World Cup semi-finals in Qatar, he feels ready to step up and play in the Premier League and Champions League.

United’s adidas home shirt is made in the same color as the city’s iconic rose red and has a black collar. The collar also has pops of red and white, giving it a sleek, modernized look. United have signed Mason Mount and Andre Onana and are now close to completing a £72m deal for Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund. The Danish striker is set to be announced ahead of a friendly against Lens at Old Trafford on Saturday – and once he crosses the finish line they could turn to other targets.
