BREAKING: Man United are already on the verge of a ‘remarkable’ £46million signing as Erik Ten Hag was helped seal the incredible deal in the ‘NEXT 48 HOURS’ – ‘Here we go “already confirmed

Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United at the start of last season, leaving Erik ten Hag with a weakened attack as Anthony Martial was the only natural centre-forward in the first team until Wout Weghorst’s loan in January.

Martial having scored just six goals in 21 games and missing half the season through injury, he is unlikely to be first-choice in 2023/24. And with Weghorst having scored just two goals in 31 games and unable to sign beyond the summer, United could be left without two forwards this summer.

The Red Devils are ready to pay €60m (£51.5m) to sign Rasmus Hojlund, according to Miguel Angel of Miguel Casas de Fichajes. The 20-year-old recorded 10 goals and four assists in 34 games last season and expects a bright future. Hojlund represented Boldklubben from 1893, Brondby and Holbaek before starting his professional career with FC Copenhagen (2017-2022). The Danish international had 15 goals with three assists in 27 appearances for the Under-19 side and scored five goals in 32 appearances at senior level.

Sturm Graz came knocking in January 2022 and Hojlund scored 12 goals with four assists in 21 games before Atalanta (Aug 2022 present) took him away a few months later. The 20-year-old is nearly six feet tall and has quick feet and fantastic movement off the ball, so it’s easy to see why United are so enthusiastic.

Hojlund was signed by Atalanta for €17.2m (£15m) but is now worth more than £50m. United finished seventh in the Premier League in goals despite being third on the points list, so Ten Hag recognizes the importance of being a prolific goalscorer to restore success at Old Trafford.

However, it remains to be seen whether Hojlund will join a third club in less than a year as he has been on the move lately. The Dane also has a four-year contract with Italy’s Stadio Atleti Azzurri, so Atalanta are under no obligation to cash
