Mason Mount is set to see his paycheque quadruple when he joins Manchester United from Chelsea.

The Blues have agreed to sell the England international to their Premier League rivals for up to £60m – and it seems that Mount will benefit significantly on a financial front by moving up north.

Mount is set to sign a five-year deal worth £250,000-a-week at Old Trafford, with the option of another year extension.

The 24-year-old was entering into the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, where he was earning just a quarter of the sum that he is set to pocket while playing for Erik ten Hag’s side in Manchester.

Bonuses could even see Mount’s weekly wage increase to £300,000, depending on performances.

Mason Mount will almost quadruple his wages when he moves from Chelsea to Man United

Mount was one of Erik ten Hag’s main transfer targets this summer, and have struck a deal

Mount was one of the Dutchman’s main transfer targets this summer, but Man United were reluctant to overpay for him.

However, the Red Devils reopened talks with Chelsea to try and thrash out a deal, with players set to be returning for pre-season training imminently.

Mount made 195 senior appearances for Chelsea, a club he joined as a six-year-old, and won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup with the west London club.

Mount started at Chelsea as a six-year-old and rose up to win the Champions League in 2021

New Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino was an admirer of Mount, and saw him fitting well into his system at the club.

However, the Blues also have financial obligations to meet, and being able to sell a youth talent for a significant sum will help to balance the books after a year of chaotic spending under Todd Boehly.

Mount wished to get Chelsea to increase his £80,000-a-week wages, after being named the club’s Player of the Year in 2020-21 and 2021-22, but the Blues refused.

Earlier this week, Mount and Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh met with children with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses for a Make-A-Wish event held in partnership with Disney.

Sign personal terms’ – Journalist shares important Arsenal update on deal with ‘enthusiastic’ star

Arsenal are now close to agreeing personal terms to sign a record.
Arsenal are on the verge of confirming personal terms with Declan Rice after the framework has already been agreed in principle, transfer insider Dean Jones has revealed to GIVEMESPORT.
Rice looks set for a move to the Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal seemingly winning the bid to sign the England international.

Arsenal transfer news – Declan Rice

After being probed as Arsenal’s top target this summer, it appears the Gunners are on the verge of signing Rice for a handsome nine-figure fee.
That’s according to The Athletic, who say Arsenal’s latest offer for midfielder Rice breaks the £100m barrier requested by West Ham United. The story states that the north London team have proposed a package worth a total of £105m, with a guaranteed payout of £100m, along with bonuses worth £5m.
It could end one of the toughest transfer market sagas of the summer, with Manchester City, direct rivals of Arsenal who reportedly signed Rice, withdrew from the race.

The Daily Mail’s Jack Gaughan says the Premier League champions are unwilling to match Arsenal’s offer for Rice and will instead withdraw from the deal.
A victory for the Gunners, whose focus now shifts to closing the deal.
What did Dean Jones say about Rice’s personal conditions at Arsenal? Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, transfer insider Jones has released a major update on what’s next for Arsenal in the Rice saga.

Speaking of the 24-year-old, Jones said: “Arsenal have managed to keep morale up in this race to sign Rice and the player are now keen to close the deal. There was a difference in the structuring of the fee that remained. ” a small problem, but the figure itself is on the money.

“West Ham had told Rice he could continue at this level of offer and they will now open the door for him to speak formally with them and sign personal terms, which have already been agreed in principle. This is a huge and late moment.” see how far Arsenal have come in the last couple of years when they beat Man City in the transfer market.

What does this mean for leaving Arsenal? Arsenal came so close to their first title in almost 20 years last season and wasted no time in revamping their squad ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Part of that rebuild includes the sacking of players, with a Thomas Partey name linked to a departure from Arsenal.
It has been reported by Sky Sport Italia that Partey is on Juventus’ radar, with the Serie A giant keen to sign the 30-year-old midfielder this summer.

Furthermore, there is also a growing sense that Granit Xhaka has played his last game for the club, with Bayer Leverkusen sniffing the Swiss midfielder (The Evening Standard).

The video went viral after a Liverpool fan claimed Rio Ferdinand would be ‘exposed’ in tonight’s game

A video showing Rio Ferdinand highlights has gone viral after a Liverpool fan claimed he would be outed in tonight’s game.
Former Manchester United and England defender Ferdinand is widely regarded as one of the greatest Premier League players of all time.
In 2002, Ferdinand became the world’s most expensive defender when he joined United from Leeds for £30million.
Recently, Ferdinand claimed on his YouTube channel Five that he would be worth £170m if he played today.

He said: “With inflation now over £100m. I had 30 million pounds at the time.
“£100m will be cheap. Seriously, in today’s market…£170m…£400,000 a week. This is what I will be now. That would be me now.

After those quotes were made public, one Liverpool fan disagreed.

The fan tweeted: “He really wouldn’t survive the Premier League today. He just looked good in the era of clog football, in today’s high line and high press he would be EXPOSED.

On the back of that tweet, a video of Ferdinand’s highlights has gone viral.

The video showed Ferdinand displaying some neat control and skill to get out of defensive situations, whilst also showing some of the goals he’s scored throughout his illustrious career.

Fans were quick to react on social media.

One said: “Idk why people assume world class players of the past would be unable to adapt to the modern game. Many had the qualities to play today.”

Another tweeted: “Compare this with their legend Jamie Carragher please.”

A third fan added: “Rio would definitely be able to play in this era, same with Vidic.”

Someone else wrote: “I think people forget how good he actually was because he played at the side of Vida.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “He is the one that invented defenders looking silky and smooth and running with the ball. He was light years ahead of the game.”

During his time with United, Ferdinand made a total of 455 Premier League appearances, winning the title on six occasions.
