“Deal at final stage”: Top Journalist reveals Man United deal to sign World class star is at final stage now, player cried for the move

Manchester United are working on a deal to sign Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

The Red Devils have been linked with the Morocco international throughout the summer, and they are finally making their move.

The club are attempting to sign the 27-year-old on loan instead of a permanent transfer due to their Financial Fair Play situation.

Amrabat has no issues with the proposal from United. He has already given the green light to a move to Old Trafford this summer.

The Utrecht graduate has been linked with United since the beginning of the transfer window.

It was anticipated that they could sign him during pre-season, but the transfer saga has dragged into the final week of the window due to Financial Fair Play concerns.

The Red Devils can’t afford a permanent deal for him without a high-profile midfield exit. Fred has left the club, but they need to recoup funds from another departure.

As a result, United have been reluctant to meet the €30 million price tag, but could now negotiate a loan deal with either an option or obligation to buy next summer.

Amrabat, who was described as a ‘world-class‘ player by Morocco manager Walid Regragui at the World Cup, should be a quality acquisition for Ten Hag and United.

He has developed into one of the best holding midfielders in Serie A. Last season, he had a passing accuracy of 90 per cent and won more than three duels per game.

He has good ball control with a tireless work rate. Amrabat would fit perfectly into United’s midfield as he rarely loses possession. This is much-needed for the Red Devils.

Ten Hag may have ideally preferred a permanent transfer, but a loan deal is better than nothin
