Discover Erik ten Hag Utd’s dream man with plans that could boost Manchester Utd next season
Erik ten Hag enjoyed a successful first season at Manchester United but will overhaul his squad again in the summer transfer window, signing four new players.
Erik ten Hag enjoyed a successful debut season at Manchester United and the Dutchman was also preparing for the FA Cup final at the weekend.
But that won’t stop the Red Devils boss from carrying out another squad overhaul in the summer transfer window. If he manages to sign his main targets, Ten Hag could end up acquiring at least four new players who would go straight into his starting lineup.
Several weaknesses emerged during the season, especially in defense and attack. Ten Hag will likely prioritize those two positions once the window opens, with Harry Kane high on his shopping list. Kane has scored 30 Premier League goals for Tottenham Hotspur this season, trailing only Erling Haaland. He is on course to break Alan Shearer’s record for all goals scored in the top flight.
But his extraordinary goalscoring record has not been matched by his trophy success. And with his contract due to expire in just a year, the situation seems ripe for United to attempt a move.
If such a move is successful, Kane would immediately get the center forward in Ten Hag’s system. He would certainly be a huge improvement over Wout Weghorst and Anthony Martial and would likely make United an eternal trophy contender.

Erik ten Hag agrees with Cristiano Ronaldo six months after Piers Morgan tirade
Cristiano Ronaldo criticized Manchester United’s standards when he left the club earlier this season and manager Erik ten Hag appears to agree with his assessment.
Erik ten Hag has agreed with Cristiano Ronaldo that standards at Manchester United have fallen sharply since Sir Alex Ferguson retired ten years ago.
Ronaldo left United in November before making a dramatic move to Saudi side Al-Nassr. The move comes after Ronaldo ended his relationship with United by mutual consent in November following a volatile interview with Piers Morgan. Ronaldo never had a starting streak under United manager Ten Hag, who quickly realized he shouldn’t be in his strongest starting XI. The Portuguese star’s exit interview slammed the boss, whom he accused of ‘disrespect’.
Clearly, the pair didn’t have a close relationship as Ronaldo’s departure coincided with a rebound in United form, while the Middle Eastern striker failed to win the league title then that Al-Nassr was below Al-Ittihad.
Ronaldo’s departure from the club saw him build bridges with several people both at United and formerly at United, but his relationship with his former manager Ferguson has always remained strong. The interview that preceded his departure hinted at this, but also attacked United’s standards. Ronaldo said: “He knows (the club’s problems), he knows better than anyone that the club is not on the path it deserves.” He knows it. Everyone knows. The people who don’t see it, it’s because they don’t want to see it; they are blamed.
“The fans are always the response and the passion for the game. Manchester belongs to the fans, but they must know the truth. The infrastructures are not good. They should change.”
United boss Ten Hag has now given an interview to The Times in which he admitted he inherited a club whose culture had changed since they were a ruthless winning machine. He hadn’t won a trophy for six years before this season and he hadn’t won the championship for ten years.
“We were aware of it,” admitted Ten Hag, referring to the club’s struggles prior to his arrival. “I have informed myself. After Sir Alex left, the culture has changed over the years.
“One of the greatest qualities Sir Alex had was the high standards of him. I wanted to bring it back so that everyone in this organization lives up to the highest standards, including the football players.
