DONE DEAL: Liverpool now submit offer to sign £86million defender – Report

After purchasing Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig, there are now whispers that Liverpool is interested in another player from the German team.

The subject of discussion is center defender Josko Gvardiol, who has been heavily linked to a move to Manchester City.

The Sky Blues will hire the Croatian international this summer, according to information released a few days ago by Fabrizio Romano of The Guardian.

Later, Leipzig’s sporting director Max Eberl reaffirmed:

“There is no deal with Manchester City. Not even close,”

The Cityzens have been allowed two weeks to complete the signing of the 21-year-old, who may have been the best defense at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

A Spanish source, Fichajes, claimed yesterday night that the Premier League is preparing for an intriguing battle for the signing of Gvardiol.

The media outlet points out that the Merseysiders are one of the English teams taking advantage of the present deadlock between City and Leipzig.

Liverpool reportedly made a proposal to try to recruit the young star, who is valued about £86 million (100 million euros), according to reports.

Manchester United and Chelsea are battling for the German star, despite Guardiola’s team still being in the lead.
