Fans excited as Liverpool coach speaks about bringing in new players

Liverpool is still the only side yet to make any signings this summer but Arne Slot seems to be  positive about the chances of a new arrival

The Reds are the only team without a new addition this summer, but Arne Slot feels optimistic about the likelihood of one. Arne Slot, the head coach of Liverpool, has stated that the team is making every effort to potentially add new players before the transfer window closes. But he acknowledged that “finding a player good enough to sign for Liverpool is not so easy.” Throughout their three-game preseason tour of the United States, the Reds have beaten Real Betis, Arsenal, and longtime rivals Man United. Despite the results, performances, and the returns of 9 first team (and Robertson to return from injury), fans still are not entirely happy with the lack of activity in the market.

Slot told the press in South Carolina after the match against the Re devils that he together sporting director Richard Hughes have been looking at profile of players to bring other than how many to sign.

He told journalists “I noticed that you are focused a lot on new signings. I am focused on the tour, how we played, what we need to improve on and what we did well. Like I said, the bar is really high for new signings because we have so many good players.”

“It is not easy to first find a player to meet those standards and then ask, is he available? Then we have to find an agreement with them, so it is not always easy to find a player who can help us but Richard [Hughes] is working hard on it and let’s see what comes from this.”

“If he is not here, we’re on the phone many times but like I said, my main focus was working with the team and preparing them in the best possible way for the first Premier League game. Apart from that, he is working on things and he keeps me updated every time.”
