Guardiola dismisses Mourinho and says Klopp is Man City’s biggest rival 

In the lead-up to the match against Liverpool, Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, praises Jurgen Klopp.

 

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has ranked Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, as his best opponent ever, claiming that the German tactician improved him as a manager.

Guardiola and Klopp will play out their rivalry tomorrow when their two sides play one other, and the Spaniard had nothing but admiration for his opponent.

Guardiola and Klopp are set to enact said rivalry, as their two teams are set to go up against each other tomorrow, and the Spaniard was full of praise for his adversary.

What Guardiola said

In two different divisions, Guardiola and Klopp have faced off for league crowns. They pushed themselves to previously unheard-of levels as they carried on the battle in the Premier League, starting in the Bundesliga when Pep was with Bayern and Klopp was with Dortmund.

Guardiola feels that this rivalry is the best he has ever engaged in, even though he has faced Jose Mourinho in both the Manchester Derby and El Clasico.

According to Goal, he stated, “Yep, by far [Klopp is his greatest rival] because we faced each other a thousand million times.”

“Absolutely, he made me better, him and his teams, here and Dortmund, often been big rivals, good games for both, positive approach and always attractive.

“He made me a better manager through his teams, and of course the way the play is good with the transitions, the runs, they are a fantastic team to go against, a top side, no doubt.”
