    Liverpool dominated from start to finish as they thrashed Aston Villa 3-0 at Anfield on Sunday, September 3.
    Goals from Dominic Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah accompanied by a Matty Cash own own goal.
    when the Red Devils no longer have a worthy winner.

    The home side took the lead in the third minute with a light strike from Szoboszlai.
    They continued to pressurize the attack and scored the second in the 22nd minute, when Cash owns an own goal.
    Jurgen Klopp’s men proved most dangerous in the first half, as Villa showed promising signs at the break.
    Liverpool started the second half with the same intensity as the first as Salah added a third goal in the 55th minute.
    That goal seemed to leave the result in doubt as the rest of the game passed without having too many problems.
    On that note, here are Liverpool’s player ratings during their resounding Premier League win over Aston Villa.
    Alisson: 7/10
    In addition to three saves, Alisson was also excellent on the ball, making 32 of his 33 passes.
    Trent Alexander-Arnold: 7/10
    Alexander-Arnold pulled the strings for Liverpool when his overhand tackle caused all sorts of problems for the Villa defence.
    Injury forced him off the field in the 70th minute, when he created five chances, more than anyone in the game.
    Joel Matip: 6/10
    Matip was as usual reliable in the Liverpool defence, helping to keep Villa.
    Joe Gomez: 7/10
    Gomez replaced the absent van Dijk well, handling Aston Villa’s fast attack well.
    He made 8 digs and completed 103 passes, more than anyone in the game.
    Andrew Robertson: 6/10
    Robertson is ready to run on the left for Liverpool, joining the attack whenever possible.
    He also holds the ball extremely neatly, maintaining a passing accuracy of 95%.
    Alexis MacAllister: 5/10
    Mac Allister turned the tide in Liverpool’s midfield, recycling possession quickly and efficiently.
    The Argentinian was substituted at the end of the game.
    Dominique Szoboszlai: 8/10
    Szoboszlai opened the scoring with a brilliant strike and shone in midfield throughout the game.
    The Hungarian also made six digs beyond his offensive capabilities.
    Curtis Jones: 5/10
    Jones made a neat change in midfield after returning from injury and was substituted in the 65th minute.

    Mohammad Salah: 7/10
    Salah is a constant threat on Liverpool’s right flank and makes Lucas Digne a lot of trouble.
    The Egyptian was rewarded for his effort with a goal early in the second half.
    Darwin Nunez: 6/10
    Nunez was rewarded for his victory over Newcastle with a starting spot in that game.
    He brought great energy to the Reds and provided an assist for Salah and was substituted in the 65th minute.
    Luis Diaz: 5/10
    Diaz was sharp on the left flank, showing excellent speed and excellent dribbling ability.
    He was substituted in the 65th minute.

    Substitutes:

    Harvey Elliott: 5/10

    Elliott slotted into the midfield and helped Liverpool see out the win comfortably.

    Cody Gakpo: 4/10

    With Liverpool content to see the game out, Gakpo struggled to get involved after coming on and had only six touches in 25-odd minutes.

    Diogo Jota: 5/10

    Jota looked to use his pace and dribbling skills to get in behind the Villa defence but did not make a real impact on proceedings.

    Jarell Quansah: 5/10

    Quansah replaced Alexander-Arnold for the final 20-odd minutes and showed great composure during his time on the pitch.
