Liverpool is preparing a “exchange contract” with Inter Milan for Marcelo Brozovic, who, according to information in Italy, Naby Keita, who would leave the club.
The Reds were increasingly associated with reinforcements in the middle of the field, while their dark departure continued against Brighton until 2023 last weekend. However, Jürgen Klopp’s team returned with a rereading victory in the third round in FA Cup on Tuesday, in which the young midfielder Stefan Bajcetic played.
The called Keita also impressed. In recent years, the international of Guinea has been prey to injuries that have seriously hampered its development in Liverpool. Keita was signed from RB Leipzig to much fanfare and while he has shown flashes of his true potential, he has generally failed to live up to his price tag.
And as Keita enters the final months of his contract at Anfield, Calciomercato Web has reported that the Reds are on the attack. They claim Liverpool are willing to make a cash offer plus Keita for Brozovic.
The Croatia international, who is worth around £30 million, has made 302 appearances for Serie A giants Inter, 12 of them this season. Although, one concern for the Reds would be that he has missed a handful of games through muscle injuries during the current campaign.
It is not the first time Brozovic has been linked with a move to Merseyside. Last summer, the 30-year-old was strongly tipped to strengthen the Liverpool midfield. However, nothing materialized as Reds boss Klopp looked at the players available to him.
Keita is out of contract this summer, along with fellow midfielders James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
