The Red Devils renewed their interest in the French midfielder this week after he failed in their attempts to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea. They made three offers for the English star, all of which were rejected by the Blues

Rabiot has been identified as a cheaper alternative as his contract with Juventus expires later this month.

The Red Devils have started a new round of talks with the former PSG star after they were previously linked with a move for him 12 months ago.

Rabiot quickly risked the wrath of supporters of his would-be new emplovers by admitting that he is an active fan of the Red Devils’ fierce rivals Liverpool. Earlier this season he said:
