Man United reject Jadon Sancho’s loan offer from Borussia Dortmund

Manchester United have reportedly turned down a loan offer for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

In 2021, Sancho made his big move from Dortmund to United in a deal worth £73m.

However, the winger didn’t live up to the award as he was poor in his debut season as the Red Devil.

Sancho also failed to impress in the 22/23 season as he found himself behind Marcus Rashford and Antony in Erik ten Hag’s pecking order.

With the summer transfer window now open, the 23-year-old is linked with a move away from Old Trafford. According to the Daily Star, United have turned down a loan offer from Sancho’s former club Dortmund.

However, it has been claimed that United will listen to any standing offers for the Englishman.

It is believed that an offer of around £45m could be enough to tempt United to part ways with Sancho.

Before moving to Manchester, Sancho was considered one of the brightest young talents in European football.

However, a series of injury problems hampered his first season in English football and he hasn’t returned to his best form since. So far, Sancho has made 55 Premier League appearances for United, scoring just nine times.

By comparison, Sancho played 104 Bundesliga games for Dortmund and scored 38 goals.

Towards the start of the 22/23 season, Sancho spoke about being replaced under Ten Hag.

He said: “I would say more information, a clearer plan and what to do, especially in some parts of the camp.

“We train more together and as you saw in pre-season, we play well together. We play in the style the coach wants. Everyone loves it right now.

Sancho added: “The style of play in training is what we are working on. In part it can be seen, in part it is the intelligence of our players, who create and know each other well.”
