Manchester City star’s agency claims Haaland is worth €1bn

According to the Manchester City star’s agent, Erling Haaland should be valued at €1bn in the current market.

The Norwegian international has taken the Premier League by storm since joining from Borussia Dortmund, scoring 32 goals in all competitions.

That’s five more than his closest challenger, Kylian Mbappé, in Europe’s top five leagues this season, with the Paris Saint-Germain forward receiving repeated interest from Real Madrid.

Spanish and European champions Carlo Ancelotti have also previously been credited with an interest in Haaland, whose agent Rafaela Pimenta believes a record amount of money is needed to secure his services.
“Erling Haaland is worth 1 billion euros. It’s not a hypothesis, I’m sure of it,” Pimenta told French broadcaster Telefoot.

“They might say I’m ridiculous, that a club won’t pay a billion, but his age, his quality, his progression and the way he behaves is why I’m talking about a billion.
“The future is unknown, but it’s coming.”

Pimenta has a number of high-profile players in his books taking over Mino Raiola’s agency following the super agent’s death last year.

Marco Verratti, PSG and Italy midfielder, is one of his clients, even if Pimenta does not see that the 30-year-old will leave the Parco dei Principi.

Pimenta added: “Impossible to imagine Verratti elsewhere. Never! He loves PSG.”
