Marcus Rashford’s incredible form continued as he scored his 23rd and 24th goals of the season in Manchester United’s (opens in a new tab) 3-0 win over Leicester (opens in a new tab).

United’s man of the hour, the 25-year-old has now surpassed his previous career record in all competitions for a single season, which he achieved in 2019/20.

Only Erling Haaland (26) and Harry Kane (17) have scored more Premier League goals this season than Rashford (14), who scored both half-time sides at Old Trafford – his second goal was ruled out -game after a confirmed VAR check.

Rashford’s current best tally for a league season is 17 – and with his form and 14 games left this season, only injury would surely prevent him from improving.

The England international has now scored in each of his last five games – in all competitions and the Premier League only. It is the second time this season that he has made five or more consecutive appearances, having done so in seven consecutive games in December and January.

Jadon Sancho scored United’s third goal of the afternoon as Erik ten Hag and Co have won three of their four league wins since losing to leaders Arsenal (opens in a new tab) last month. The result puts them five points clear of the Gunners despite one more game.

Leicester – unable to extend their league win to three games despite a brilliant start – remain in 14th place and just four points above the relegation zone.
