Rasmus Hojlund mentions a player and says playing with ‘world class’ teammates at Manchester United is a dream
Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund says playing alongside teammate Marcus Rashford is a dream.
Even before Rasmus Hojlund completed his move to Manchester United this summer, everyone knew that he was a fan of the club.
This played a key role in his decision to join Manchester United and turn down offers from Paris Saint-Germain, The Athletic reports.
Hojlund has had a good start to life at United, scoring three goals and he is keen to link up with Marcus Rashford.
Rasmus Hojlund talks about Marcus Rashford… Speaking to Danish media outlet Bold.dk, Rasmus Hojlund said he was excited to play alongside a player he admires.
Hojlund said:
“I really enjoy playing with him. I think he is a world-class player and I would love to play with a player like him.
“He is a player I admire, even though he is only a few years older than me. He has performed very well since arriving and scored against Midtjylland that time. “Since then he has been a great player and of course it is great that today we are teammates.”
Hojlund gave a simple answer when asked who was faster between the two: “I am.”
Hojlund and Rashford work together
Manchester United fans want to see a productive link-up between the two, and while the relationship has not been a resounding success so far, there have been some promising early signs.
Rashford scored Hojlund’s first goal against Galatasaray with the striker’s header.
In the match against Brighton, Rashford scored for Hojlund but it was not recognized because he just sent the ball out of the field.
Hojlund added that the two discussed learning each other’s games, commenting:
“We tried to find everyone’s role models.”
