Trent Alexander Arnold 7

He came in with some good crosses in the first half and started the second goal, but kept going defensively. Great assist for the third.

Understandably rather rusty after such a long start and some delay in closing for Southampton’s third

He was asked to do a little more than usual when he replaced Alexander-Arnold at right-back. He has chosen to play parts of the last quarter in attacking midfield.

Skipper in his last appearance, who had been heavily involved before the break. He then moved to left-back for the final hour of his Liverpool career.

Had plenty of possession and was keen to keep Liverpool ahead in the first half. submerged.

Lyanco didn’t change much in the first half but went on, doubling Jota, hit the post and was repelled by a nice save from McCarthy.
