Manchester United Anthony Martial’s future under Erik ten Hag has been up for debate for the last year after a series of fitness problems.
Martial recently made his first Manchester United appearance in a friendly tie against Everton on Tuesday afternoon, marking his return to the football pitch after the 2022/23 season saw him out with five separate injuries under Erik ten Hag.
His first appearance in 79 days for United, and according to Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News, Ten Hag’s Reds ran out at 2-0 victors thanks to an own goal and a Scott McTominay finish.
It was reported on Sunday that West Ham asked to be informed of Martial’s current situation, with the striker an unused substitute to counter Wolves during the 1-0 victory at Old Trafford on Monday evening.
However, the Premier League outfit are not the only club interested in the striker – they now face competition from other two European sides.
It is said that both Inter Milan and Fenerbahce have shown interest in Martial in recent weeks – and a move away looks likely to happen, say the Sun.
It’s now clear that Fenerbahce, of course, just finished dealing with United for the transfer of Brazilian midfielder Fred, who joined the club for a package of around £12.9 million including add-ons.
With just a few weeks left in the window and Manchester United looking to sell in order to raise funds, Martial’s departure is one that could quickly accelerate if the club were to receive offers they deem acceptable.

HERE WE GO: £53M German Midfielder have finally agreed to join Man united, player set to travel to Carrington for Medical
Manchester United have been linked with German international and Bayern Munich star, Leon Goretzka, for some time and the latest reports are intriguing.
A few days ago, we covered a story via AZ claiming the Red Devils want to hire the services of the midfielder in the summer transfer window.
More recently, reports coming from Spain indicate the Old Trafford club would face no competition to lure the 28-year-old star.
According to Catalan source, Nacional, Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, has been interested in luring Goretzka but there are two major obstacles why he has given up.
First, the Los Blancos do not want to pay the asking fee of 65 million euros (£56.2million) keeping in view they will have to splash a lot of cash for Mbappe.
Moreover, even manager, Carlo Ancelotti, is not so keen on securing the Kaiser as he has got ample quality and depth in the center of the park
So, the former Bochum midfielder has to look at other options and United convince him.
The media outlet claim Man Utd are prepared to bet very hard to bring Goretzka to Old Trafford
Erik Ten Hag has asked the management to make an effort for the experienced and decorated star and pay whatever is needed to get his signing done.
United did not make Sabitzer’s loan move permanent, on the other hand, Eriksen is past his prime. They did secure the signing of Mason Mount but the England international has had an average pre-season thus far.
The former Chelsea attacker missed an absolute sitter earlier in the day against French side, Lens. So, creativity in the center should be improved.

Bid accepted: Man united latest bid to sign £35m superstar have now been accepted today, Medical booked for the player already as He will be Ten Hag 5th signing
Manchester United have seemingly upped their game in the summer transfer window, as they edge closer to agreeing a deal for another signing.
Saturday saw the Red Devils find the breakthrough in their talks with Atalanta for the signing of Rasmus Hojlund in a deal that could potentially cost them north of £90m in fixed payments, variables, and wages.
Less than 24 hours later, it has emerged that Erik ten Hag is set to be handed another quality addition to his ranks.
According to a story covered by Tom Hopkinson, chief sports reporter for The Mirror, today (news image provided below), United “will sign” Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina. The Premier League side are closing in on an agreement worth £26m for Morocco’s World Cup hero, who is in the last year of his contract in Florence.
Known as “The Gladiator” in Italian football, Amrabat has caught the eyes of Ten Hag, who wants to take pressure off ageing Casemiro by bringing another defensive midfielder to Carrington.
The 26-year-old would not only add physicality to United’s midfield, akin to the former Real Madrid legend, but also raise the technical floor of the engine with his press-resistant qualities in possession.
With his performance in Qatar, where he was the best defensive midfielder of the tournament, Amrabat also showed he’s not afraid of a big stage.
More importantly, the Dutch coach is placing his trust in a player who he has already worked with him in the past. The two collaborated in the Netherlands at FC Utrecht before going their separate ways in 2017.
Whether Man United wait to formalise Hojlund’s signing and secure some funds through sales before finalising the £26m agreement with Fiorentina remains to be seen.

BREAKING NEWS: Glazers sell Man United to Qatar Sheikh Jassim for £6bn (BIG SALE IN HISTORY)
Sheikh Jassim has made a fifth offer to buy Manchester United with a clear indication: take it or leave it. Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani this week made a fifth and final improved offer of just £6bn to buy Man United FC. After this Friday there will be no more offers from the Qatar group, Jassim will NOT be involved in the process anymore. This was also due to the start of the transfer window as Sheikh Jassim wanted to be ready to invest in the squad quickly. The Glazers have received the offer direct and will make a final decision shortly as they are also in talks with Simon Ratcliffe. The offer is 100% owned by the club, is fully cash and transactionally simple, would fully pay off all debts of the club and has separate additional funding solely for the club’s ongoing player, infrastructure and other investment needs. It’s up to the Glazers while talks with the INEOS group also continue, Sir Jim Ratcliffe insists on the purchase of Man United.
Sheikh Jassim is also aware that if he takes over ownership, he must offer Erik ten Hag the optimum moment as soon as possible to strengthen his selection in the transfer market. Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani has decided Friday is the closing date for further involvement, meaning if the offer is not accepted, he will walk out. Sources close to him describe it as a critical moment. Copyright © 2023 Chelsea Fire | Powered by Astra WordPress Theme

The Manchester United takeover saga took a fresh twist this week when Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani lodged a fifth bid for the club, however, the Glazers have yet to respond
Another week, another twist in the Manchester United takeover saga.
Qatari billionaire Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani has lodged a fifth and final bid in the hope of beating Sir Jim Ratcliffe to a deal, but neither party have heard anything from the Glazers, who continue to mull over their options.
While the club’s unpopular American owners take their time over a decision, Erik ten Hag is working hard to try and get deals done ahead of the summer transfer window, which officially opens next week.
The Red Devils are in the market for a quality striker but also have designs on strengthening other areas of their squad, too. A surprise deal for Mason Mount appears to be edging closer after the club agreed personal terms with the Chelsea star, who will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge for the right price.
Ten Hag performs Lindelof u-turn
Victor Lindelof has been denied a transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt after Erik ten Hag made it clear that he wants to keep him at Manchester United.
Lindelof, 28, emerged as a key player under Ten Hag in the latter stages of the season, deputising at centre-back after Lisandro Martinez suffered a serious metatarsal injury in April. The Swedish defender impressed alongside the likes of Raphael Varane and Luke Shaw, helping United secure a third-place finish in the Premier League and reach the FA Cup final.
Pre-season schedule takes shape
In case you missed it, Manchester United have added another assignment to their pre-season schedule.
The Red Devils will take on Spanish side Athletic Club in Dublin on Sunday August 6, a week before the start of the Premier League season.
They are also set to play Leeds, Lyon, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund throughout pre-season.
Zilliacus out of process
Previously linked with a takeover at Old Trafford, Thomas Zilliacus has (once again) confirmed that he has pulled out of the process.
He tweeted: “XXI Century Football Capital focuses on football investments. We know how to make clubs successful and profitable and how to make fans happy. We focus on big clubs with a large fan base. We are profit oriented as only profitable clubs are successful in the long run.
“XXI Century Football Capital believes the price of Manchester United has reached levels where investments no longer make sense. We therefore have turned our attention to other clubs.”

Sheikh Jassim bid to ‘remain live’
Despite the self-imposed deadline for Sheikh Jassim’s bid, it appears that the offer will remain on the table for the foreseeable future.
According to The Guardian, the Qatari will not fully walk away even if he doesn’t hear back. His offer, that is reportedly below the Glazers’ £6bn asking price, will remain live beyond today.

McTominay opens up on Ten Hag influence
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has hailed Erik ten Hag for his influence on the side during his first 12 months at Old Trafford.
Talking to the Red Devils’ official website, he said: “Obviously, the transition in terms of his style is very, very different to some other coaches, but, as I say, that’s football. He’s always having you thinking, and having you think about new ideas and stuff like that.
“It’s good, that’s the best way to be with football: open-minded and going into every game, if he asks you to do something, you do it to the best of your abilities and you try to learn it as best as you can. I think, for me, it’s great. I love it.”

Back in January, the Daily Mail reported that Klopp had attended a meeting with Sofyan Amrabat’s representatives with a view to a transfer, but failed to get a deal done. And Ten Hag, who worked with the player at Utrecht when he was coming through the ranks, is now keen to be reunited with him at Old Trafford.
Newcastle eye Kim Min-Jae hijack
Manchester United could face late competition to sign Napoli star Kim-Min Jae from Newcastle.
The Red Devils looked to be edging towards a move for the South Korean defender with the Italian side resigned to losing him. He looks likely to still be on the move but Eddie Howe is looking to make a late play for his services.
That is according to talkSPORT, who suggest that Newcastle are keen to bolster their defence this summer and could pay Kim’s release clause.
VAR to change next season
Manchester United are set to be impacted by VAR and offside decisions in the Premier League.
Four extra offside cameras are set to be used at every game in the Premier League next season in an effort to overcome the problem of a ‘blind spot’ in the current technology.
However, the semi-automated system that was used with great success at the World Cup will not be seen.
