Reports indicates Xavi has given Barcelona a list of seven absolutely ‘untouchable’ players

As we enter the final stages of the current season, Barcelona, ​​who almost won the La Liga title, are busy planning their squad for next season. With financial fair play hurdles to overcome, player sales will be needed and offers could be heard for several stars.
However, according to a report from Mundo Deportivo’s Gabriel Sans, coach Xavi Hernandez has handed the Barcelona administration a list of seven players considered absolutely ‘untouchable’.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is one of the players coach Xavi considers ‘non-transferable’. And that’s no surprise given the Germany international is having a great season, breaking goalkeeper records after goalkeeping records. Alongside Ter Stegen, centre-back duo Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen are also being treated as ‘untouchable’ at Spotify Camp Nou. In fact, reports even suggest that Barca, despite only signing the latter last summer, are already considering a contract extension for him.

Frenkie de Jong, who was nearly kicked out of the club during last year’s summer transfer window, has also achieved irreplaceable status at Barca. The Dutchman has played well one after another and is a key member of the squad, although the club could discuss a pay cut with him.

De Jong’s midfield partner Pedri is another superstar considered untouchable at Barcelona. The 20-year-old is undoubtedly one of the biggest pieces in Xavi’s system and he will not be allowed to leave at any cost.
