Rio Ferdinand is the admin of the ‘ruthless’ WhatsApp group and explains the characters of members in it.

Rio Ferdinand has revealed the contents of the WhatsApp group that is made up of several former Manchester United players, but he is unable to name everyone because “some people wouldn’t work again.”

The Red Devils legend disclosed that he is the group chat administrator and provided some insight into his banter with other former players.

Despite being the exact opposite of timid as a player, Dimitar Berbatov has recently joined and hasn’t hesitated to take shots, according to the former England defender.

“Berba’s just come in and letting off smoke,” Ferdinand informed Five. He’s got it! From the quietest man in the changing room, he’s gone. He’s out there blowing people up, exactly like Patrice Evra!

‘Sending pictures, lookalikes, hammering people in terms of their ability. “You were dead, you were rubbish, you can’t talk about certain asects of the game because you were rubbish at that.” On it! He is on it!

‘If I could give you the transcript out of it, some people wouldn’t work again. Certain people’s careers would be put to dust, the way people are getting dismissed in this group. Ruthless.’

Asked who is the funniest member of the group, Ferdinand gave a shout out to Anderson and Quinton Fortune, although said that the former can barely speak English.

Quinton Fortune takes no prisoners in the group chat.

‘Ando is quite funny,’ he said. ‘Quinton Fortune’s funny. Quinton Fortune just hammers everyone. Puts emojis or pictures of people.

‘There’s certains aspects of people that we remember when we played that I can’t get into because it’s quite personal that get brought up regularly.’

On Anderson he said: ‘He can’t speak English, bruv! If I played you his voice notes, he starts chatting and we go, “what are you saying bruv?” He says people’s names and we go, “who’s that?”

‘He was here for four, five, six years, he doesn’t know how to say “thank you”.’
