Mane took a flight to Munich on Tuesday to finish off his medical with the German club. The Senegalese international was then seen in social media videos and pictures sporting Bayern training attire.
“I was immediately excited when my agency first told me about Bayern’s interest,” Mane told BILD. “I instantly recognized myself there.
“It’s one of the largest clubs in the world, and the team competes relentlessly for every championship. Therefore, coming here was a wise choice and a really excellent one in my opinion.
“My agent informed me that other clubs had inquired. The business includes that.
“However, when Bayern explained their strategy to me, I immediately felt it. More than anyone else, I discovered myself in Bayern’s plan.
I play a bigger role in Bayern’s scheme than anyone else.
Mane was also questioned about the possibility of Bayern Munich winning the Champions League. Mane acknowledges it’s too early to consider the possibility of European glory with his new club after reaching three finals with Liverpool and winning one.
Mane responded, “I don’t want to say no. “Every child and football player in the world wants to win the Champions League. I’m currently on a squad that is fiercely competitive.
“But since we haven’t even played a game together yet, it’s still too early to talk about the Champions League final. However, we shall do everything in our power to advance to the final.
