Many Liverpool players are in action today as the season’s final international break draws to an end.

Tuesday saw 13 of Jurgen Klopp’s first team members participate, along with a few young players who were on the periphery of the senior team. Below is a summary of who is doing what today.

Friends taking the main stage

Today’s activities are mostly comprised of international friendlies. These are mostly meaningless events that managers typically see from the comfort of their couches. With Ibrahima Konate expected to play for France against Chile today despite having only recently recovered from an injury, Klopp won’t be any different.

That isn’t the only Euro-South American clash this evening, though. Luis Diaz will be involved in another, as Colombia take on Romania.

Over in South America itself, Alexis Mac Allister will be the last to play, Argentina facing Costa Rica at 2.45am GMT.

A little closer to home, Andy Robertson’s Scotland take on Conor Bradley and Northern Ireland, with the younger man looking forward to facing his teammate. In terms of the home nations, Joe Gomez is the only English representative, as the Three Lions face Belgium.

Dominik Szoboszlai and Caoimhin Kelleher will expect to take starting roles for Hungary and Ireland against Kosovo and Switzerland respectively, while Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo’s Netherlands take part in a juicy-looking tie against Germany.

One man who is actually involved in a competitive game for his country this evening is Kostas Tsimikas.

The left-back is a key player for Greece who are aiming to reach a major tournament for the first time in years this evening.

If they can get past Georgia in their winner-takes-all game in Tbilisi tonight, they’ll be heading to the Euros this summer. 20 years on from his nation’s heroics in 2004, it’ll be a fitting story for Tsimikas and co.

Tune in for kick-off at 5pm to see how Liverpool’s £12m man gets on.

Youngsters not to be forgotten

As well as Liverpool’s 11 senior international players, there are a number of youngsters to keep a watch over today.

In terms of senior players, we can certainly count Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah. Both will be hoping for minutes during England U21s game against Luxembourg later this evening.

That pair aren’t the only ones involved, though. On-loan midfielder Tyler Morton is also worth keeping an eye on for England, while Bobby Clark, Kaide Gordon and Luke Chambers are with the U20s.

Just imagine if Darwin Nunez, Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota and Wataru Endo were playing, too! Let’s just hope for no injuries and a Euros spot for our Kostas. Good luck, lads
